widentd is a small ident (RFC 1413) deamon which provides a fixed (and fake) reply regardless of the IP address/port pair queried.
Its intended use is on firewalls and NAT machines - where one may want to simply syphon off auth-requests from for example IRC servers.
After installing packages, navigate to Services > widentd. Choose the Listening interface (usually WAN), and enter a Username and System name (Almost always should be UNIX).
Stable - works, though not believed to be widely used.
