If he following error is received when (re)installing a package such as the OpenVPN Client Export package:

pbi_add: Invalid file for usercheck!
of zip-3.0-amd64.pbi p7zip-9.20.1-amd64 failed!

Installation aborted. Removing package...

It may be corrected by using the console/ssh shell to run:

For i386:

fetch https://files.pfsense.org/packages/8/All/p7zip-9.20.1-i386.pbi
rm -rf /var/db/pbi/installed/p7zip-9.20.1-i386/
pbi_add -f --no-checksig p7zip-9.20.1-i386.pbi

fetch https://files.pfsense.org/packages/8/All/zip-3.0-i386.pbi
rm -rf /var/db/pbi/installed/zip-3.0-i386/
pbi_add -f --no-checksig zip-3.0-i386.pbi

For amd64:

fetch https://files.pfsense.org/packages/amd64/8/All/p7zip-9.20.1-amd64.pbi
rm -rf /var/db/pbi/installed/p7zip-9.20.1-amd64/
pbi_add -f --no-checksig p7zip-9.20.1-amd64.pbi

fetch https://files.pfsense.org/packages/amd64/8/All/zip-3.0-amd64.pbi
rm -rf /var/db/pbi/installed/zip-3.0-amd64/
pbi_add -f --no-checksig zip-3.0-amd64.pbi

Afterward, go to System > Packages and (re)install the package that failed.

If that does not clear up the error, repeat that process for other PBI package(s) that were listed in the error.
