Siproxd package

Siproxd is a proxy/masquerading daemon for the SIP protocol. It handles registrations of SIP clients on a private IP network and performs rewriting of the SIP message bodies to make SIP connections possible via a masquerading firewall. It allows SIP phones and soft phones (like kphone, linphone) to work behind an IP masquerading firewall or router.

How to install and configure siproxd (SIP proxy daemon)

Under 'System' -> 'Packages'

  • Find the 'siproxd' package
  • Click the icon to install
  • Wait for it finish
  • Refresh the menu items (ie, select 'Status' -> 'System')

Under 'Services' -> 'siproxd'

  • Inbound interface will generally be LAN
  • Outbound interface will generally by WAN
  • Fill in any other values (where appropriate)
  • RTP port range (lower) should be an even number
  • Click 'Save'

Also ensure you are using 1.2.3-RC3 or newer.
